The client’s property was beginning to show clear signs of wear and tear. Faded paint, minor cracks in the render, and general deterioration meant it was in need of a facelift.
While re-rendering and repainting were possible solutions, the quoted costs were steep. So the client contacted us to explore more durable, cost-effective alternatives — and cladding stood out as the perfect option.
After a detailed consultation and product demo, the client selected a beautiful cement-board cladding in a colour that perfectly complemented the home’s features. The project would focus solely on cladding the house, while the existing soffits, fascias, and guttering would remain untouched.
We began by installing timber battens across the property’s exterior walls. Given the natural inconsistencies in the wall surface — including bumps, uneven render, and external features — we applied precision packers to ensure each batten formed a flawless vertical line for the cladding to follow.
Next came the breathable membrane, carefully wrapped around the battens to provide vital ventilation and protection beneath the cladding.
Our team then installed the corner trims and worked meticulously around all existing fixtures, including gas boxes, cabling, lighting, phone lines, and meters. Once the ground floor was complete, pre-booked scaffolding was erected for the upper levels.
The rear of the property involved extra detailing around soil pipes, where we maintained perfect alignment despite the complexity — ensuring a finish that looked seamless and sharp.
While the scaffolding was up, we also repainted the chimney at the client’s request, adding another refreshed touch to the finished look.
The entire project was completed in under three weeks — and the results speak for themselves. The client was thrilled with the transformation and has already booked us in to clad the garage, complete with new soffits and fascias.
