This 16mm replacement fascia board is a solid square-edge uPVC board in 5m lengths, fixed directly to rafter ends for full fascia replacement and new builds – The structural fascia board for full replacement and new rooflines.
This is a 16mm thick, square-edged, solid uPVC replacement fascia board in 5 metre lengths. It is designed to fix straight onto rafter ends after the old timber fascia has been removed — or on new work where there is no timber to cap over.
Use this board when you need strength, not a thin cover. At 16mm it is self-supporting enough to take gutter brackets into the board and rafters. It is also used as a bargeboard on gable ends.
If the existing timber fascia is still solid and you only want a new face, use our 9mm square capover / capping board instead.

How to pick width: measure from the underside of the roof covering / eaves tray down to the intended gutter line. Most two-storey houses take 175mm or 200mm. Bungalows often take 150mm. Deep overhangs and some boxed eaves need 225mm, 250mm, 300mm or the 355mm / 405mm double-ended boards.
Select colour and width on this page, or call if you need a size that is not listed.
The fascia is the vertical board at the eaves. It:
Timber fascia fails because of trapped moisture, peeling paint and failed fixings. A 16mm uPVC replacement board removes that cycle: no paint, no rot, stable colour, and a square edge that looks sharp against modern windows and anthracite gutters.
On gables the same board is run as a bargeboard. On corners and deep soffits, wider and double-ended boards let you box the eaves without splicing several narrow pieces.

Usually add to the same order: soffits, square corners, joint covers, guttering, downpipes, eaves vents / ventilation strip, polytop pins or screws, sealant.
355mm and 405mm boards are double-ended. That means both long edges can be used as the finished bottom edge. Use them for:
Ask us to confirm which widths are double-ended in the colour you want.
Choose the colour variation on this page. Typical roofline colours include white, anthracite grey, black / black ash, golden oak and rosewood / woodgrain (stock dependent).
Match fascia, soffit, gutter and window colour on the same elevation. Dark boards expand more in sun — plan joints.

Is 16mm fascia the same as 18mm?
Some brands sell 18mm replacement board. This product is 16mm solid square-edge. It is the full-replacement thickness we stock for fixing to rafters — not a 9mm capover.
Can I use 16mm over existing timber?
You can overboard in some details, but this board is made to replace timber and fix to rafters. For covering sound timber, 9mm capover is cheaper and designed for that job.
Will it hold guttering?
Yes, when fixed correctly to rafter ends. Do not hang a full gutter off an unsupported 9mm-style fix.
Can I use it as a bargeboard?
Yes. Same 16mm square board is commonly used on gables.
What do double-ended 355mm and 405mm mean?
Both edges are finished so you can use either long edge as the visible bottom — useful on deep eaves.
Do I need to paint it?
No.
How many 5m boards?
Measure each elevation, add gables, corners and at least 10% waste, divide by 5. Send us a sketch if you want a take-off check.
Do you fit as well as supply?
Yes — supply & fit across our Essex / London-border area.
