These Contemporary Oak acoustic panels are slatted wall panels with a real oak veneer face. Narrow oak slats sit on an acoustic felt backing so the wall looks like modern timber lining and the room sounds less harsh.
The finish is a clean, mid oak — “contemporary” rather than rustic or dark smoked. Use Contemporary Oak acoustic panels on a TV wall, stair, office, studio, restaurant or bedroom headboard wall. They add depth that paint cannot, and they take the edge off echo in hard, open rooms.
They are an internal decorative acoustic lining. They reduce reverberation (the bounce of voices and TV). They are not a party-wall soundproofing system and they are not a bathroom / shower panel.

Confirm the exact panel size in stock when you order. The usual UK slat format is around 2400 × 600mm (about 1.44m² per panel) with slats on PET felt; some ranges also offer 3000mm lengths for taller rooms.

Real veneer will show natural variation from panel to panel. Mix boards across the wall so the grain does not form a stripe.
Store panels flat and acclimatise them in the room before fixing.
Hard rooms (plaster, glass, laminate) bounce mid and high frequencies. The slat-and-felt build of Contemporary Oak acoustic panels breaks up and absorbs some of that energy, so speech and TV are clearer and the room feels less “clangy”.
They will not stop next-door bass or make a stud wall into a cinema room on their own. For that you need mass, isolation and a designed build-up. These panels are the visible, useful layer for comfort and looks.
Keep them dry. Do not use Contemporary Oak acoustic panels in a shower or as a splashback next to a hob.
